FCA in the Morning

Watching over100 students pile into a small classroom to hear the Word of God was encouraging this morning. Every Thursday morning at 7:00 AM, I have the privilege of helping with Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Hawkins Middle School. We normally met in the library, but today they were set up for a book fair. Our alternative meeting place was our teacher sponsor's classroom (which is quite smaller than the library). The one thing I can say about junior high students... they don't mind crowding into a small space. We had a crowd of students who listened attentively as the Word of God was shared.

Let's not give up on our students. Let's not say they're too far gone. If this morning is any indication of our future, the days ahead are bright. There are still many who long to have a relationship with God and to walk with Him everyday. God has not been pushed out of school. He walks the halls everyday in an army of young people who are discovering, and for some, yet discovering, they can make a difference. Let's pray for our students and believe for great things.
