I've noticed I haven't posted much throughout December. I started at Living Free Fellowship on December 7th! I wonder...
By the way... we had a great service this morning. I look forward to what God will do in 2009!

Family and Christmas
It has been a great week! My brother has come in from Manhattan and my wife's brother has come in from Houston. It's always good to see family. I wish we could all be closer in terms of geography, but I know that is not possible at this time in life. Jenny and I enjoy when they visit.
Christmas has always been a memorable time of year. I hope each of you had enjoyable memories with family this holiday season.

3... 2... 1... Christmas Has Come!
I missed the 3, 2, 1. I know I'm a day late but I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Jesus has come! Let's not keep that to one day a year... let's celebrate Him all year long! He is more than the reason for the season... He is the reason for life!

The Day of the Lord
Today has been a great day. We had a wonderful service at Living Free Fellowship this morning. God is moving! It was a joy to have the Tennessee District Secretary/Treasurer Todd Alexander in service with us today. He assisted us during praise and worship by playing the keyboards for us. We are grateful for his time. Following the service, we had our Christmas luncheon. We had enough food to feed an army. The people at Living Free are awesome. It is a joy to serve as their pastor. I look forward to what God is going to do in the community of Portland!

They Sang, They Fainted
I went to the Hendersonville High School Choir recital tonight with one of our families from church to see their daughter sing! The concert was an hour and a half long. Apparently it was rather hot on the stage. They had two students pass out during the concert because of the heat and the length. After the second student passed out, they dropped a song and cut the concert short. I can honestly say that I've never seen anything like that before. However, it did make the concert interesting. The students received medical attention and are doing fine. There's never a dull moment at the high school!

Our First Sunday
I look forward to tomorrow. Our first Sunday at Living Free Fellowship begins in just a few hours. My wife and I are ready and anticipate a great day in the Lord.
Our kids have been working with their grandmother (our new children's director) on tomorrow's songs for kid's church. They are excited about being involved in ministry to their peers. I look forward to seeing what God does in their lives.
Keep us in your prayers. We serve a great God, who does great things. Trust Him with your life and follow where He leads. You won't be disappointed.
